Campus and Community Planting

Planting on our Campuses
Many of the trees we raise are planted out on our campuses as green spaces are redesigned and we attempt to replace non-native species of little botanical importance with indigenous varieties. We also plan out trees donated by the Singapore National Parks as well as individuals.

Opportunities exist on both campuses to have trees planted in memory or in honour of loved ones. Do get in touch at rainforestnursery@gapps.uwcsea.edu.sg if you would like to arrange this. Alternatively you can go straight to our Adopt a Tree Site site .

Many of the older trees on Dover Campus have been documented by the 40 Trees for 40 Years Service group. Visit their site or contact Frankie Meehan to know more or share your own story.

Planting in the Community
As well as planting on our own campuses with trees raised in our nurseries we have planted trees in public parks, nature reserves and private gardens in Singapore. Not only does this enhance our ability to conserve endangered tree species, but it also allows us to reach out with our story about the wonder and importance of native biodiversity and cultural heritage. In this way we can show that UWCSEA does not live in an 'expat bubble' but is making an important contribution to Singapore's ambition to be transform itself "from a Garden City to a City in a Garden".
